FEATURED GLASS: COOL-LITE SKN 165 II
This project created a dynamic office building and research and development hub for Nestlé’s diverse product portfolio. The centre also acts a training facility for new employees and graduates, giving them their first glimpse into life at the company.
Inside, a tree-lined central street links old and new spaces, creating informal staff breakout areas within the office space. The company’s industrial production space also saw investment, with an extended sensory tasting facility and miniature factory.
The project won several awards including ‘National Projects up to 2000m2’ and ‘North of England Region’s Best Refurbished/Recycled Workplace’ at the BCO Awards 2013, as well as best ‘Non-Residential Project’ at York Design Awards 2013.
The glass façade features COOL-LITE SKN 165 II to optimise light transmission while also reducing overheating in the summer months.
