FEATURED GLASS: COOL-LITE SKN 176 II

Newcastle High School for Girls involved the remodelling and complete refurbishment of the school’s iconic Victorian buildings at Tankerville Terrace as well as the creation of a new 3,625 sq m three-storey building.

The new development hosts a multi-purpose assembly hall and performing arts venue, dining room, fitness suite, state-of-the-art science laboratories and additional classroom spaces.

The use of COOL-LITE SKN 176 II, allows daylight to be maximised, whilst reducing overheating and at the same time noticeably reducing excessive heat loss during colder months.  COOL-LITE SKN 176 II has a high degree of neutrality, meaning the space inside is light and comfortable for the students and staff, creating the best possible learning environment.

This project was shortlisted for the North East Property Awards 2017 for Refit/Refurbishment of the Year.
