For several years the focus has been the recovery and use of post-industrial glass cullet. Now Saint-Gobain has extended the cullet return programme to recover ‘post-consumer’ glass from old windows which has, until now, typically been discarded into land-fill.
Leading sustainability in glass
Saint-Gobain’s cullet return scheme is a key initiative to achieve our target of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. We must work in partnership with our customers and wider network of stakeholders throughout the building glass supply chain, to ensure that when possible, all post-industrial and post-consumer glass is recycled to manufacture high performance glass.
Cullet return scheme customer support packages
The drive for change is one felt throughout the construction industry. As a glass manufacturer it's vital that Saint-Gobain Glass helps to provide mechanisms to recycle glass, working in partnership with the glass and glazing supply chains.
Saint-Gobain Glass has created three Glass Forever cullet return scheme packages to help our glass processing customers setup and manage the collection and return of waste glass. To find out more, please download the Glass Forever brochure.

Ensuring the quality of glass cullet is vital to the successful manufacture of new high performance glass from recycled glass. During the audit process we determine the most appropriate recycling solution and provide suitable training and equipment.
As the Saint-Gobain Glass Forever Cullet Return Scheme develops, more of our partners are installing cullet crushing machines and inviting glass processors and glaziers to their sites to recycle old glazed units into cullet.
